I just hope sometimes what NUS teaches could match my interest.

I have read an article which is about the selection of teaching professors in US universities. It is so stringent which results a very good batch of teaching professors in the states. Comparing that with NUS, well, it is just not comparable......not to mention those TAs and Lab assistants.....(although some are quite good, I admit, but most are ......)

Conclusion: Rely on my own brain, on discussion among my own friends. This helps more than lectures and tutorials.
